what does an arab look like?

Arabs comprise of a broad range of ambiguous ethnic groups, not a race. They can pretty much look like a multitude of different races. You have black arabs, white arabs and mixed arabs. The original Arabs however originate from Yemen.

Iranians however are Persian, not Arabs. They are Farsi speakers, not Arabic speakers.

Persians and Arabs are two different ethnic groups.

I always mistake them for Indians (from India) or Latinos and Mixed Race.....

Diversity in humanity in a beautiful thing. Tribalism is a real thing, you associate and feel comfortable around people that share a commonality. Yet, there is a strand outchere that wants us to hate one another. .

I'm surprised, wonder how much of their ancestors came during the slave trading day though.

No surprise there....my ex fiance who was full Persian (born and raised there until about age 13) told me that there were black people in Iran, as in black people of African descent not to be confused with very dark skinned Iranians.

Either way, the Arab slave trade (I know Iranians aren't Arabs), but the actual slave trade reached all corners of the Mid-East and North Africa. They probably imported more blacks to those countries than the West ever did.
