Go to Costa-Rica. Then on the weekend rent a car and leave the city. (you can take the bus too) and head to Limon. Small coastal town off the caribbean coast. This is where the black costa-ricans come from.
Gonna put it this way: shytty little town but also the place where i had the best time of my life this one time i went to the carnival there. Let's just say what hapenned there was a big spike on my expense report at work that weekend. "Just drinking and b!tches" as my boy said. lol. Think their carnival is in october some time
And while you are there swing by this little town a little further (about 20 minute drive) called Puerto-Viejo. PV is very americanized/europeanized but still a good time
