Unlike places like UK and the US the migrants in Israel apart from the airlifted Ethiopians tend to be people who fled genuine oppression and war situations. Israel is a different case though, I dont know of any European PM or President who would say outright that migrants threaten the identity of their nation without being pilloried left and right. Sudan has gone through decades of civil war split and then the new country descended into some other civil war between elements of the new Government. As a country that supposedly espouses Western value or claims to uphold them Israel has similar ethno-religious nationalism of the Middle East that make it hard for the nation to be flexible in cases such as these ones.
As for the case of Japan/Germany it seems people do not understand that the initial factor conditions of a European and an Asian power is what made them recover faster. It is different from a typical African colony at independence, some of those colonies like the Belgian Congo did not even have 20 graduates in the whole country and we are supposed to compare them to nations that were capable of building aircraft carriers and had huge manufacturing.
