I do think there is some truth to that. I don't know if it is that young but much of the population that can be counted is young (closer to 40 or 45). The issue is how to count people in the villages, which are very inaccessible and relatively far from most places, and where a lot of older people live. I often hear people in the US say they don't do the census or know anyone who does, so it would be harder in the villages in Africa. Towns themselves are a challenge. Some places that have required identification may be easier but the problem still applies.I’m still interested in what she said tho about the age of 75% of the continent’s population and how true that is but I know what the focus was gonna shift too once that pic popped up lol
