I never really spent time with crypto, ironically because the whole “decentralization” aspect of it turned me off as I believe centralization is something humans innately work towards.


I’m also lucky to be a in financial position where I don’t have to put on outsized risk to make ends meets.

My last year of UG I took an elective on blockchain / crypto…. Just spent the whole time arguing with people and the prof :lolbron:


Them: “It’s decentralized finance! It’s better for the people!! Instead of going to a bank to get a mortgage you can go to normal people!”


Me “ but I don’t know anyone who has 250k+ to Lon me for a house” :what:


Them: but people can just start looking their money together to give out those loans”


Me: “… so u wana make a bank?” :childplease:

What I don't like is all the Coli posters who were arguing us to death when we were voicing skepticism about crypto have largely disappeared.


Or calling us name and shytting on us claiming we didn't understand it and shouldn't talk unless we had a bunch invested in it.
