why do people make these fashion show penis measuring contest threads.

You can celebrate something without making comparisons about how's better based on subjective preferences that end up being a one up game based on who can insult who. This always turns into grown adults with elementary child like conversations about who can burp the best.
I try to stay away from the pissing contest and comparisons myself. Even though I prefer Afram music to others I'm not going to downgrade other peoples music.

Aframs do not fukk with Jamaican music like that. The only people that do are Jamaicans and the UK which has significant Jamaican influence. Outside of Marley, Sean Paul, maybe Buju Banton and Vybz, most aframs could not name any other Jamaican artist. Jamaican music or influence is pretty much non-existent in the Midwest.

Even Bob Marley was greatly influenced by Curtis Mayfield. One of Marley's biggest songs was "One Love" which was an interpretation (a rework) of Mayfield's song "People Get Ready." In fact Mayfield was given a co-writing credit on "One Love", because Marley had not initiallly acknowledged Mayfield's copyright.

One Love/People Get Ready - Wikipedia

Another influence of Marley was James Brown.

Damn y'all mad :picard:

Sean Paul Dutty Rock>>AA's greatest hits :umad:

All jokes aside, I'm from the North Bronx plus have extended Jamaican relatives so maybe I was exposed to it more than people who didn't grow up around Jamaicans

I can respect the AA>>Jamaican music argument but even then Jamaican would be close 2nd

:camby: with that Afro Cuban(etc)>>Jamaican music talk because that's just foolishness :stopitslime:

And how breh named all them Jamaican artists but leave out Buju? :dahell:

Speaking of Buju

No AA (or any other people for that matter) has ever made a song more motivational, inspirational, heartfelt and just down right jaw dropping (literally) than

Only nikka on here that sounds mad is you breh

We just stating facts and clamping down on outdated information and covert culture-vulturing. The latter will especially not be tolerated

:mjlol: at Dutty Rock tho.

:dead:

How ya'll most iconic song about killing gay people?

Is this the heights of Jamaican culture?

I would hope not.

For your sake.

Also Fela Kuti > Bob Marley

And I think afrobeat (also influenced by aframs) is about to overtake reggae in global appeal.
