a myth that the WWE has been benefiting off of for the past 16-plus years now.
that and nostalgia/habit are the reasons why people still tune in every week like drones.

funny thing is, the product the past few years has been a helluva lot better than it was in the late '00s/early '10s/mid-10s.

WWE has one of the greatest rosters ever (outside of maybe their 02-03 roster) right now and access to most of the greatest legends of all time

late'90s WCW had the greatest modern-day roster on U.S. soil. none of these WWE rosters are messin with that.

as for the current WWE roster; for every great wrestler that they have, they cancel them out with a garbage wrestler. what good is it to have aj styles when hes standing next to the miz and wrestling against sheamus?? hell, youre cancelling styles out twice over.

quality over quantity. its like i said in the ben carter thread; the best roster in the WWE is overseas in NXT-UK. and most of the WWE Universe doesnt even watch it.

Its random matches...shyt gets old...also they have heel vs heel and face vs face matches

Id have random raw and smackdown stars...doing 6 months programs in nxt

I enjoy the matches especially the face vs face ones. It's different. You're saying having regular matches with no storyline is old? I think they are the best. Who wants corny ass storylines, gimme the wrestle!

This company only has moments of decent stuff yearly. There hasn’t been anything hot since DB in 2014.

Hell, the only storylines I heard were good this year were Heel Roman and Banks/Bayley tag team. I can’t even tell you anything about last year.

WWE has no characteristics anymore. They just don't care enough to gather interest. They got some interesting characters like Bray and what Roman been doing with the Tribal Chief thing but most of their stuff is stale. They don't give people chances and when they do they end up getting buried to one of the favorites. They could experiment with so many different storylines now with no crowd there. Vince just doesn't like when things don't go his way. But I don't see the ratings getting better any time soon.

Not like AEW much better either. Feel like some of their talent is underutilized and they can make their storylines more interesting as well. They got a pretty decent roster and just need to try and put all the pieces together. The good thing is they have quarterly ppvs so they don't have to rush storylines but they can't be wasting their best stuff on Dynamite, like Kenny winning the title. They already got their established stars like the former WWE guys, and the rising stars like Darby, MJF, Orange Cassidy, etc that have done great for them. Just gotta keep the fans interested.

WWE is creatively bankrupt... and the only thing they had over other companies was budget and resources, until AEW came along. Any company with money proves to be equal to WWE if not superior...Wednesday nights prove this.

have no history at all whatsoever. No standouts really by elevating unknown talent. Or in moxley'a case czw was so built on trying to be fmw. That it played out in aew. That Moxley always needed a prop to get over in his scsa revisits aew matches.
That now i am totally glad Kahn linked with the nwa and impact. Instead of just raiding poaching and burial ala the ecw and roh raids. That took place to be where we are now.

Aew is winning because Kahn did what was right and smartly continued what was going on in the indies. Sometimes condensed but still they tried. Similar to a be continued episode like he should have. Yet in that,...now he got the bucks and Kenny with the sckraps. Hopefully they continue to make this as great as i imagined. Right now outside of being tired of green as cody. I can't get enough of aew.

i fukking hate WWE right now but look at how deep that roster is. its possible for them to turn it around. they have all the money and resources in the world.

wwe needs pushed to create good content...look at the new generation...they were riding them into the ground as if they were the best shyt ever until WCW came thru and crushed the buildings...if Nitro never gets poppin we might have seen a TL Hopper WWF Title reign... I bushed WWE over them hiring Hogan back with a disingenuous apology. They could have God in a storyline (again?) and I wouldnt watch and there people who havent stopped. Some watch both. All of that is fine but the "this vs that" narrative is dumb as fukk.
