These ratings are not a blow to NXT at all. Of course everyone was gonna tune in to AEW to watch their FIRST EVER SHOW over NXT. People needed to see what they are about. They had great production, and good wrestling. NXT has the better overall roster. The main thing is can AEW sustain that type of gap. If this is the same in December, then NXT should worry. This was curiousity ratings.

NXT had its first ever show on USA a couple weeks ago unopposed and didn’t get these numbers. NXT needs younger faces pushed to the top and now. You can’t play the long term game to AEW detriment when NXT has dropped week over week. They already blew their wad with a takeover level show with 3 title matches. Has AEW?

Come on man. That was not NXT's first show on television ever. Most wrestling fans have the network and have seen NXT at some point. It wasnt a BRAND NEW company. People cant be really making that comparison.
Im not using long term to AEW's disadvantage. But who as a wrestling fan would not tune in to AEW to see what they will bring to the table over NXT

Nxt is too established to be making below 1.0.

Y'all had 7 years to get ya sh!t together.

I mean you gonna talk crap about raw ratings every week then let's not move the goal post for nxt.

Y'all on the big boy platform now.

Gotta admit tho.. WWE putting NXT on tv against AEW and taking a bite into their ratings is some ultimate hoe shyt

But I respect the shooter I guess
Meh... it isnt that bad honestly. NXT has always been on that day but on the network. I guess Vince wanted to see how popular NXT is vs AEW so he made the move. Them running a special EVOLVE show vs the AEW charity show is more of a dikk move than that.

Who the fukk cares about ratings in 2019

It was bad enough on here five years ago when you had one group of nikkas criticising Bryan for posting 2.7 ratings as champ and another group of nikkas defending Bryan for posting 2.7 ratings as champ

Neither side wins, one side just loses more slowly

Im glad aew got a 0.7 n beat nxt 0.5

Bcuz marks woulda said "but but its a new promotion!"

"But but its the first event!!! Give them 6 months"

"But but hunter made finn n ciampa show up!!!"

No you're not because you've been a hating ass nikka throughout this whole shyt. You're trying to make yourself feel better about NXT getting washed this week with this post. :lolbron:

As for the rest of what you said, it still applies regardless of their initial success. AEW overall is still a work in progress and needs time to establish itself.

The haters thought they wouldn't repeat All in's 30 minute sell out but their next event sold out in 15, then they wouldn't get Moxley, no way, why would he, then he goes on and show up. Then they doubted the ppv buys, they shattered expectations. They then doubted a realistic tv spot on prime time, they were wrong once again, they doubted good ticket sales for their tv events, wrong again and finally they were saying 500-600k max for the premiere and the haters were dead wrong once again.

It's time to wave the flag and accept defeat, go be cucks for VKM elsewhere now, I don't understand those wanting it to fail and go back to the E's absolute monopoly which lead nowhere but to the death of the sport they love to treat like a soap until these fellas decided it was time to act on that weakness and start something fresh. VKM is in panic mode and I hope he dies in his sleep stressing about it. Maybe the Saudis will pay for his memorial.
