with Jungle boy switching up from his tag with Hook to saying he wants to be win a singles title this year, and considering he should beat Christian (would be hilarious if he loses again due to interference though

i don't believe u can run that as a PPV match. MJF has cooled off and Jungle Boy only seems to be over with the diehards

I think Tony will do the same thing he did with Hangman last year. Use Bryan to give the "new guy" more credibility as champion. Then run a couple of more title defenses before losing the strap at either All Out or Full Gear.
I do agree a MJF vs Jungle Boy matchup would be cold as hell -and MJF gonna have a hard time not repeating the same promos Christian has been cutting since last year, lol- but considering both Hangman and Jungle will probably come out of the PPV as the babyfaces with the biggests Ws (I sadly don't see Ricky getting out of Jericho's toxicity yet), I think those will be Tony's choices for n°1 contenders.
Of course I'd prefer Dragon winning (though to be fair, if him losing means he can work the G-1, I'll take that in a heart bit) but I just don't see Tony bailing on MJF so soon. He's never pivoted from a long term plan when there's no injuries fukking things up, and I don't imagine him changing when one of his most promising stars is getting a championship push.
To be honest. Omega should be the next big challenger. Make him put over MJF too and by that point Ricky Starks should be freed up for a rematch with Max and a title win. But I don't see that scenario happening, at least not anytime soon.
