I'll say this though: shyt been in development so long, Danielson in the game has short hair and current Danielson has hair to his shoulders. Statlander in the game still an alien, current Statlander done blown her knee out, went back to her home planet to rehab, got exiled back to earth and came back a whole ass regular person.
The development time hurt this a lot. It isn't even out yet and it feels frozen in time. They need to hire someone to sit with the character customizer they talked about and just customize everyone in the game into who they are currently so you can release a Day 1 patch with the game.
Having throwback gameplay with throwback graphics would be a hard sell to plenty of people as it is; having it be throwback rosters on top of it... might as well just play an emulator of an old WWE game.

It was first announced in 2020, wasn't it? Yukes probably didn't start development until late 2019 or early 2020. They made this game really fast, actually.
You have to remember the the WWE games run on the same engine so they can make yearly changes whereas Fight Forever had to be built from the ground up

The biggest mistake anyone can do is compare this to 2k23. This game looks like it'll be pretty fun, but it's not a full price worthy game. It doesn't look like it's close to touching the GOAT Here Comes The Pain, but it looks better than the most overrated game ever No Mercy. I look forward to buying this when it's during black Friday or a summer sale, which is what you should do for all games since they always have a sale the month after it releases.
