I haven't touched this game since last summer... Played this for a week and ended up removing this shyt off my PS5. I didn't mind coppin day 1 b/c I had paper to blow.
Everybody involved at THQ Nordic need they ass beat including Tony Khan for allowing this game to be released in the shape they did. About every aspect of this game was half-assed done. Then if you bought the deluxe version on day 1 that came w/season pass they trying to milk ppl out of more $$$ for separate DLC. Straight robbery.
The next AEW game I won't be going near unless some BIG changes are made.

It's insane to me that No Mercy has more match types than this does, still. The one good aspect of this game is how deep the move options are for caws, but it doesn't mean a lot when there's like 6 possible faces, hairstyles, etc. How they not even let you have a tornado tag, or ANY singles match options to win other than by pinfall? Give me KO only, submission only, 3 and 4 ways that are elimination style instead of first fall, and all the other options No Mercy had, since that's the game you claimed to be basing this off of. Throw in all that game's caw options plus this games move options, and I'd be happy with it.

I get people were nostalgic about No Mercy, and I'm sure it was great for its time, but they should have left that idea on the table.
I feel like most AEW fans would have been happy with them making a game that was essentially WWE2k reskinned as AEW, most of them have already used CC to recreate AEW wrestlers and AEW Arenas in 2k anyway and seem like a lot of people just wanted a decent Creation suite, GM mode, and career mode, things WWE2k has implemented. It wouldn't have revolutionary, but I feel like most people would have been satisfied with that, especially since it's the first AEW game.

launch
roh : elite honor
add both roh and expanded aew rosters
drop the playstation kick button.
drop the yukes playstation smackdown gameplay.
add in run counters like drop down, leap frog back on any run counter.
add back standing walk back evade counter
re add the grapple attack buttons they left off on the first version.
add roh style titles and matches and build.
add roh history and buyout from the first two owners as a caw or plot to the gameplay
add aew buy out and merge universes as you build up from the indies.
make cartoon updated models. not that 3d cgi bullshyt for caw's. give us access to the character models faces and an expanded face palette.
game modes..
only need pure, ironman, cage, and the dlc matches from fight forever.
these are the only issues you need to fix to follow it up.
plus you can just give people the grapple style version with roh.
then with aew keep the yukes style.
so you have the best of both worlds and two different style of experience. with a separate grapple workrate roh engine and the playstation yukes gameplay engine for aew fight forever.
the shyt simple.
trying to loot box a wrasslin community is stoopid. they will give you all their money if you listen to what they want and execute that without fail.

we just wanted no mercy with new graphics and an ironman match.
aew just overthought this and used playstation based gamers and not nintendo style gamers.
we asked for playstation wcw world tour. not fukk'n yukes.
we are neglected nintendo wrasslin gamers. not playstation yukes brawler style gamers.
give us the game we want and get rich..

One of the WOAT DLC rollout paths I've ever seen in gaming. Put the no mercy cat back in the attic. He's missed too much in how gaming has evolved in the last 20 years. And keep Omega away from whomever makes the next game
