The arena, atmosphere and menus just feels so "bare bones". Its like they left so much on the table by not giving it more time in development . Seems like they could've created something epic, but now we are gonna be given something that's just gonna be "good" at best.
It’s been over 2 years, how much more time do you need to make a wrestling game?

There is no voice actors, or big budget CGI so it shouldn’t take but so long to get a game made. Longer dev time will not made this game that much different

They were busy wasting money/time fighting with Omega about mini games and bs nobody in the western world cares about in this game.

So think the mini games is an attempt to include more content. Since this won’t be a yearly title and from what I heard this might be a one off with THq due to them being difficult to work with. At least that’s the rumors. But yea they need optional modes of this game wants to remain relevant past the normal 2-3 months cycle games have

Also they have to compete with this years WWE game and the new one. So I can’t be mad if he wants a lot more game modes that may catch on to casuals

Modes sure. Why not wrestling related modes? They just threw cheap Mario Party and Yakuza games in there. Feature rich experience trumps random modes that just fill out a pr checklist. Can't share CAWs but we can hit giant baseballs on a football field? Idk a niche game for a niche product needs a hook. Not sure this is it though.

They are providing a bit more than what I initially expected so I'm straight with what they have been showing. This is their first game so it's going to be a little lackluster compared to the WWE games but the sequel should be even better since they aren't building a game from the ground up
I see a lot of people saying this, but Yuke's and THQ have been making wrestling games since the early 1990's; and there are hundreds of wrestling games that they could've borrowed ideas or concepts from.
I honestly believe that the first AEW game could've been more polished and more feature packed, but it seems like that only mission was to take a 30 year old N64 game and give it PS2 graphics.
So far, Fight Forever looks like it's going to be a rental, at best.

Yea I get your point.

I guess we have to wait and see it for ourselves. I’m going to get it day one just to see if it’s fun to play

The director from Aki is on board. Also Yuke's is a smallish to mid size team and they had to build the game from the ground up which takes a significant amount of time, they don't have the budget they had with the WWE games, and development time is relatively short.

With the sequel, the difficult part of development will be out of the way

Phil looking out for us on the fence:ehh:

All Elite Wrestling’s first console game had its first big reveal to the video game world back in August by publisher THQ Nordic. Fight Forever went on to win the Best Sports/Racing Game Award at this year’s Gamescom, but there has been little to no information on the game since.

There is good news for the game on the horizon, however, as numerous sources have informed me that when AEW Fight Forever is released, it will be part of the Xbox Game Pass on day one. This will give All Elite Wrestling’s first video game a massive boost in accessibility right out of the gate.

By launching on Xbox Game Pass, AEW Fight Forever will be available to over 25 million subscribers on Microsoft’s subscription service. This will be the first licensed wrestling game that has ever been made available on Xbox Game Pass. It’s currently unknown at this time as to when THQ Nordic or All Elite Wrestling will make the official announcement, as we still haven’t gotten an official release date for the game.

AEW Fight Forever is being developed by Yuke’s and is currently scheduled to be released on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

people. people play xbox. that game pass sub coming in clutch yet again. This could be good for the game, word of mouth and whatnot. or it could be a death blow. hopefully they got a nice check for it coming to gp.
