Since you don't watch the television, if Moxleys reign WAS different and attempting to accomplish things different than the other "heels"of the last 25 years - how would you know?

What if my point is exactly that - Mox has little in common with "the last 25 years" and is playing the heel role that way it USED to be before the Cool Heel epidemic of the 90s?
Ok, now I get it. I guess you are the first reasonable fan that has that kind of take regarding this angle so I was like :dwillhuh: :gucci: when I read your post.

And just because -

If you say that people haven't looked better since working with him but don't come out worse they just come out the same - how do you define a champion who never loses but also the people he beats don't lose their heat :jbhmm:
If that champion doesn't have standout matches, the people he works with are not getting elevated, and the champ itself isn't lighting the world on fire, I'd call him either a forgettable champion or a swing and a miss. But then again, I only get glimpses of his title reign. Thing is, every time I do watch all my bias are confirmed so yeah, such a glowing review of his reign -coupled with a weirdly worded post- does come off as "wtf" from my side :manny:

If he was having matches with great heat on PPV I'd be like "I still don't like this shyt but it's undeniable working for most fans". But that's not what's been happening. In fact, after watching and hearing dead crowds for plodding Mox matches, all I read after each PPV is people complaining about the angle and not understanding TK for not pivoting. So I have nothing -besides this post of yours- to think differently. And I'm not going to tune in for something I truly dislike, I'm too old for that now.

And the point of my second paragraph is - do you think you're the only person not watching a TV angle who is complaining about not liking a TV angle :pachaha:
Uh, no? We all do that on the internet? I guess this is going over my head, but I don't think I'm unique with my take or like I'm special for having it or something :dwillhuh:

So my argument would be, maybe your opinion would be different if you were watching the television, as it seems to be working for a lot of people who are, despite the loud news on the internet about how terrible it all is.

I've never thought Moxley was great in the ring so maybe my expectations are tempered. The only thing I've ever really felt was on a TOP level from him was his promos, and he's talking his ass off every week.

I also think, with his ai? of being genuinely unlikeable, and introducing new characters to a broader audience (bigger star from a bigger company, been introducing the homegrown AEW names to any new Max era viewers one by one and keeping them strong), this run has been a positive, and will become a success when Hangman Page is set on his way to becoming a genuine and bonafide top draw on US television this summer.

Very good Collision, but it was never going to live up to the Dynamite. :yeshrug:

Death Riders tantrum was fun, camera got that work :skip: I'm good with a Mox/Joe barn burner at DoN :ehh:

Great showing for Kevin Knight... Lance Archer makes for a great upper-midcard gatekeeper, reminds me of Warlord or Barbarian. Always looks a threat, never really needs to win. When you beat him you look like you belong. :obama:

Nick Wayne Vs Komander was great and I did not expect a title change at ALL. Not mad at it.. I hope Christian insists he "looks after it" while he's in Japan :russ:

Rocky must have got tired switching heel to face when he wrestlers in AEW - bro's been rudo for ages in CMLL. Heel RV should be good.

Feels like Stat Vs Mercedes final with Mercedes/Toni at All In? I'm still pulling for Hayter honestly and I want Mercedes and Athena back in Texas but any way you configure these ladies they're gonna give you classics. :wow:

Company is just enjoyable all round right now:obama:

Idk breh, you talked about a 7/8 month unbeaten heel run like it was something fans didn't know how to react to when a heel title run is THE formula wrestling fans have been fed with for the past 25 years :dead: Cena's WWE title run is the only exception and that shyt lasted 3 years combined, at most?

You also talked about "Moxley is in the midst of a proper NWA style title run where he's been a chickenshyt that has made everyone else look better while he soaks up heat."

Idk who he has made look better. Orange, Darby, Edge and even Swerve haven't come out looking "better"- At best, they've come out the same as they came in, but no one has made a leap or gone a step up because of this angle.

I can only talked about the PPVs and in that sense, there's nothing about this Death Riders angle that screams real heat or something worth the hassle. People aren't chomping at the bit on the biggest shows AEW can offer to see this dude lose. They want someone else to get the belt, sure, but it's not some OMG what a moment kind of thing. As a comparisson, Roman's title reign was much ,much more meaningful as a dominant heel, people were begging for Drew or Sami to get a that W. I haven't seen anyone come even 50% close to that type of anticipation.

So yeah, I read your post and I'm like wtf :dead:

The 2nd parapgrah I legit don't understand what you are trying to say. I'm not mad at anything ,just confused at a post that's trying to make a victory lap out of a Dynamite episode to make it seem that the Death Riders angle was some big picture thing that was completey worth it and no one else was smart enough to see it :dwillhuh:
Orange cassidy aint been on tv in a minute lets keep it like that
