Last night’s Dynamite is the second highest rated production in AEW history, only barely eclipsed by the Brodie Lee tribute show. I never thought anything would ever be able to challenge that show for the AEW crown

That also makes it the third highest rated show in all of Cagematch history. The first Hana Kimura tribute show ranks #1

Maybe just maybe the big evil heel not losing for 7/8 months was a good idea huh? Almost as if it's based on some historically successful formula from some long lost industry of yesteryear.

Something AEW 2025 has made obvious is that 90s crash TV and whatever the hell you want to call Vince's product afterwards has completely brain wiped most wrestling viewers.

Moxley is in the midst of a proper NWA style title run where he's been a chickenshyt that has made everyone else look better while he soaks up heat.

Seeing the gears turn in real time as people realize "Wait a second - this is actually Good and has had a point the whole time" is amazing. Brains broken by horrible people with horrible ideas are being healed.

As someone that only watches PPV, this post seems from another dimension

And with that, do you think you're the only person not watching in totality but just mad at the pieces? I haven't liked any of Mox's matches (bar the rematch with Edge) up until Swerve either, but seeing as how I don't like most of anything White or Edge do, I wasn't too confused by that.

That was a fukking WRESTLING show

Mercedes and Athena was even better than I thought it was going to be and I've been excited for it all week. The way they played it as just a straight up battle of wills from the first lockup... not letting go of holds time and time again, striking with intent. Athena slapped both of Mercedes lash extensions off and drop kicked her into the LED boards so hard they tripped out Mercedes win was unexpected to me but I'm not mad. She cheated, we gotta run this back. These might be the two best US women's wrestlers right now, somehow we've only seen them 1-on-1 once, they have chemistry like fukkin covalent bonding and they have a perfectly organic feud brewing. This summer we are getting blessed.

Walking Weapon was a better surprise than Ishii Great addition and a solid move to join DCF I reckon... him, Kyle and Take about to be menacing folk.

HS and GOA have some chemistry too - great match. HS are so fukking over it's just a joyful thing to behold. MJF should've asked to borrow MVPs cane if he's gonna lead out a Hooooo Train though Lashley is gonna fukk that boy up and it's gonna be glorious.

By rights nothing on any wrestling show should be better than that Mercedes/Athena match but Ospreay/Take was. Didn't feel like a retread, it feels like these two could and may well have a string of indescribably good matches over the next 5 or more years. Again, we are fukking BLESSED.

If they keep this up for Collision I won't have any energy left to have feel any NWG Wrestlemania FOMO.
