Was it cheesy? Yes but it's still an 80's baby Classic. I always thought "Don't Tell Mom, The Babysitter's dead" was a loose spin off, growing up. I assumed "The Sitter" was also a loose spin off basically but that was a remake of a TV movie by the same name but I think all the "Babysitting Genre" can be traced to "Adventures in Babysitting". I had no idea Disney remade the movie, lol. But "Adventures and Babysitting" is just one of those movies you watched a lot as a kid weither on VHS or television. That littile girl hanging outside the window was crazy and LOL @ Thor being so central to the plot.

Man, I had the same experience. I didn't notice how low key racist a lot of these 80s films were. I thought it was the shyt back then too, but it was basically, "clean cut white kids go to the hood, hilarity ensues."
