I see where you coming from, and if we were talking about someone who never been in trouble or made a mistake or two,I'd agree.

But Adrien deserves what he got, dude has to grow up at some point, hopefully this teaches him a lesson,it prolly won't but I hope it does.

Being late to court doesn't deserve or in anyway come close to having your freedom taken for 30 days, while in the same country you have cops, DAs, judges, politicians, and their funders, who lie in court and get no punishment at all.
Its bullshyt, plain and simple.

Sounds all well and good. But if any logically thinking person is informed they need to show up for a case, and if they show up the case is dismissed, and if not they could go to jail for 30 days, that person would normally show up barring unforeseen circumstances. Trust me, judges hate wasted time and people not respecting the court by failing to appear. I see it all the time at the courthouse.
I see arrogant DAs and arrogant Judges as well simply because my line of work overlapping with the legal system occasionally.
We all have our time wasted on the job, we all have issues, but to imprison a man for 30 days because of your own pride, is ridiculous and beyond the scope.
Sorry there is no justification for this bullshyt.

I said i agreed with you. But due to it being Broner another jail stint should do him good, hopefully it wakes him up,because the next time could be a lengthy prison sentence

contempt will never be a prison sentence, that is my point, there is no conntection between this contempt of court issue and his real life with him getting in fights outside of bowling allys or anything like that. This is just a show by the judge.

The case was being dismissed, reschedule the case, simple as that.
This was the judge flexing his/her power, nothing more and nothing less.
That yall are so quick to not see the real issue of judicial misconduct and would rather place the blame on the person with no power, bringing abuse on themselves, is telling.
Judicial misconduct?

Who goes to court 3 hours late/hungover AF?

WTF, its like someone hoping that a woman gets raped to teach her a lesson.
Look I'm all for hoping he straightens up in life, but nah I can't co-sign shyt where people get victimized by a system and people hope he gets better from that.

:heh:

Any time I've ever gone to court, the judge has been late. Judges are just egotistical a$$holes from my experience.

I'd agree with your assessment if the courts were done well oiled machine. But they're not, they're generally extremely inefficient and a gross waste of time.

And let's not act like the judge was twiddling his thumbs waiting on dude. Typically, they call your case and if you're not there, they charge you with "failure to appear" and move on. If your counsel is there, your lawyer can plea with the judge that you're running late and he may agree to move to other cases until you arrive. The judge is the one wasting time and resources by even sentencing him to those 30 days.
