Goodell bit:

“First, the injury was inflicted on a child who was only four years old. The difference in size and strength between you and the child is significant, and your actions clearly caused physical injury to the child," Goodell wrote. "While an adult may have a number of options when confronted with abuse – to flee, to fight back, or to seek help from law enforcement – none of those options is realistically available to a four-year old child. Further, the injury inflicted on your son includes the emotional and psychological trauma to a young child who suffers criminal physical abuse at the hands of his father.

“Second, the repetitive use of a switch in this instance is the functional equivalent of a weapon, particularly in the hands of someone with the strength of an accomplished professional athlete.

“Third, you have shown no meaningful remorse for your conduct. When indicted, you acknowledged what you did but said that you would not ‘eliminate whooping my kids’ and defended your conduct in numerous published text messages to the child’s mother. You also said that you felt ‘very confident with my actions because I know my intent.’ These comments raise the serious concern that you do not fully appreciate the seriousness of your conduct, or even worse, that you may feel free to engage in similar conduct in the future."

unless you're a NFL player being attacked by a woman :sas1:

blacks beat their children because it prepares them for a lifetime under the guise of white supremacy. At the end of the day this all just goes back to white supremacy. :mjpls:

this is somewhat true.

Especially for back in the 50s & 60s when white ppl could kill a black kid for anything as little as horsing around in public. The parents wanted to make sure the kids were well behaved at all times so they had the best chance to be successful in this world.

It's still true today on a much more smaller level that as a young black person you need to be well-behaved b/c the leash for you is much shorter

Has nothing to do with forgiveness, back then people were still upset at Goodell and Ray Rice...That's AP's problem, the timing of his legal trouble...

If this legal matter occurred at any other point I guarantee you he wouldn't of sat a single game this season...
theres one surefire method to make sure you wont miss any paychecks from the league, and it doesnt require arbitrators, unions, commissioner rulings or any of that shyt. how bout you stay the fukk outta trouble? you fukk up, you put yourself at the mercy of your employer. how bout you just dont beat your 4 year old?

I like how you keep pretending public opinion in AP's case was like Ray Rice...

It clearly wasn't...Case and point look how many cats you been arguing with in this thread about whoopings...Nobody on the Coli was cosigning what Ray did because his intent with that punch was clearly to injure his wife...AP did not intend to injure his son in the manner which it turned out, he took a whooping too far...The man admitted his negligence, he voluntarily stepped away from the game, did his time away and yet now has been suspended indefinitely for something a court of law ruled a MISDEMEANOR...Why? because in your opinion feminists and the liberal fakkit media should be allowed to ruin a mans livelihood...:stopitslime:

Stop making excuses for grown men

@Liquid so you have personal experience with "abuse" (definitions may vary)? serious question. cuz i see a lot of blind rage in your posts. There's another thread on this forum about a U.S. town under military occupancy because some racist white cop is getting away with murdering a black man and the black people are protesting. how many posts you got in that thread doggy.

i was disciplined as a child with slaps, belts, switch...i suffer no mental anguish to this day.
not defending AP but ya'll on some lynch mob shyt.

So basically you are condoning small children being slapped, beat and hit with belts and switches? :beli:

I dont condone what he did. My moms spanked me hard when I did something stupid. Its the way she was raised. I have 2 little boys and Im not beating them. I know I wont. Im not going to tell others how to raise their children tho. What AD did was not comin from a malicious place. Roger Goodell could care less about his son. All he cares about are a bunch of idiot, jealous self righteous fansand sponsors who felt the need to get on their high horse when all this ray rice shyt popped off

AP used his charity's credit card to pay for a hotel orgy attended by his MINOR brother?
He was engaged at the time.

http://nypost.com/2014/10/06/adrian-peterson-had-orgy-with-minor-misused-charity-funds-report/

AP denies it.

Leaving minor boys with AP is a bad idea.
Big teenage boys.
4yo toddler kid boys.
Just don't do it. -____-
Supervise AP's visitation.

AP's attorney is Rusty Hardin. RH told Mike & Mike this a.m. that the NFL fell short with Ray Rice, so the NFL overcompensates in the case of Adrian Peterson. He says that Detroit assembly line workers would not expect such treatment by an employer if the workers "made a good faith mistake in disciplining their child."

Hardin asked "How much are we going to punish this man?" Then Hardin cited the endorsements lost BEFORE the NFL decided to withhold 6 games' worth of pay.

RH thinks that AP "has paid for his mistake" and "its unintended consequences." He says the NFL is ignoring the child's mother's wishes. RH says that the NFL is making up the punishment as it goes along. Goodell was hypocritical in his self-serving letter about AP showing "insufficient remorse. Who the hell does [Goodell] think he is?"

The attorney says that nobody wants children to be hurt, but child protective services can handle it appropriately. "we're supposed to give ppl second chances -- not self-righteously blast them REPEATEDLY."

Hardin says that it was neither child abuse nor domestic violence, citing that AP pleaded guilty to [some other BS wording for beating the shyt out of a 4yo toddler kid].

This is going to turn into how the NFL deals with labor unions. Because it seems that they went directly against the CBA

It appears that people have forgiven AP now, but back when he was out people were pretty upset about it. I was out in Las Vegas and heard about it out there and had people in the pool even bring it to my attention.

Either way it doesn't matter. The NFL had to do what it had to do to protect itself, it cannot possibly put its entire league in jeopardy by having a large percentage of the population angry at their decision. If you can't at the very least see that then there is nothing else I can tell you.
Here is your article, you only asked for one. Now shhhhhhh.....

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Yo, all NFL moral ground standing aside, AD's team fukked this up. He shouldn't have been allowed to make any statements to the media in the wake of this making national headlines unless they were pre-approved. He should have been in counseling. He should have taken a class about alternative methods of discipline. He should have participated in whatever hearing the NFL set up. He should have brought forth any mitigating evidence. I know he's a grown ass man and he can do whatever he wants but that should have been the plan if the goal was to get AD back on a football field as soon as possible.
