Peyton has a top 5 defense and it can be argued since the pats game they've been the best in football.

On the otherhand, it can be argued the biggest reason for the Vikings turn around this season was their massive defensive improvement. They went from arguably the worst in football(tebow killed them last year smh)to a top 12 unit. While the offense even with AP's historic season is scoring about the same as it did last season.

OPOY is most about stats than any of the other awards. You can try to dismiss them as empty, but "fullness" of stats is an mvp problem. No one has EVER put up 1900 yards. He's a WR, wins/losses aren't as important unless you're trying to throw him in the mvp discussion....which no one is doing.

Who actually wins it depends on how the votes pan out...I'm just speaking on who deserves it.

This OPOY as a consolation prize is dumb reasoning to me. Rodgers deserved the MVP last year cuz he played like the best player in the league and affected his team's performance so much with his great play. Brees' performance was more impressive, tho, from an individual player standpoint. It wasn't a consolation prize.
