She said the mother of the child had a casual relationship with AP when she lived in the Twin Cities (she's since moved to South Dakota). She became pregnant, but wasn't sure about the identify of the father "until just recently." A paternity test revealed that the dad was indeed Adrian Peterson. Our source says Peterson isn't identified as the father on the birth certificate of the child, who goes by his mother's last name.

So Adrian knew of the kid and whether or not he wanted to keep it under wraps doesn't mean he shouldn't have some kind of emotional attachment. It's still your seed no matter how the mothafukka came about. Nyggas out here be walking stereotypes

It's not that simple. There's a gray area here. As a parent, you are responsible for you kid and who they are around. Especially if that parent is dating and they're inviting the person they are dating to their homes around their kids. There is obviously not a clear cut black and white guideline that people should abide by. It's your job as a parent to assess every situation. And according to information that's come out, this dude is a POS with a known history of being a POS. How she didn't sense any type of danger with this dude is beyond me. I know since I've become a parent that I'm more cognizant of my surroundings when I'm out and about with my kids, who my kids are hanging out with and who those kids parents are, and what kind of people I'm inviting to my home and be around my children.

This is an awful situation all around. The main blame goes to that POS, but I feel the mom failed the child as well.

A check of Patterson's criminal background in South Dakota reveals nine pages of trouble.

Court documents reveal the 27 year old has been arrested multiple times on various charges. He was arrested in 2004 for violating a protection order, but that was later dropped by the prosecutor. A 2012 arrest for aggravated assault was also dismissed by a prosecutor. Patterson has served time in jail for Eluding officers in 2010. He was also sentenced to five days in jail after pleading guilty to simple assault last year.

Patterson has a son with another Sioux Falls woman, court records show. Records also show that the mother of his child had asked for protection orders twice, claiming he’d choked and punched her, threatened her with a knife and held her in the bedroom against her will.

What I would fault her for is not getting to know dude long enough before letting him around her son.

I was a single dad that had custody of my two daughters for 7 years...and let me tell you...I was an idiot early on.

This niggga had priors. Reb you worked at a court house, are these records not for the public. She could have gone to check at any time. But considering AP didn't find out until recently this was his kid, she was not about that cross your T's and dot your i's life.
