The reality is, Maidana is a good, strong fighter. And there's really no shame in losing to him. It's not like Broner got beat by a bum.

Broner is not a bad fighter at all. He even showed a lot of heart and skill after the first knock down by changing strategies when hesstarted standing his ground instead of playing the ropes. The problem was him jumping up weight classes like that and the fact he wasn't throwing punches.

Maidana is a brawler.
Training with Robert Garcia is an attempt to get Maidana to be a more polished fighter, but it's funny...because if Maidana fought Broner in a polished, technical way, he would have lost.

Can Maidana hang up there with a guy like Mayweather? No.
But he's good, has good power and has a high work load.

He's probably in that 5th or 6th ranking as far as Welterweights go.
