I hadn't even watched the clip yet, breh. I'm not in "bad faith", I just have higher expectations and zero tolerance for pointless bullshyt (like Cynthia Erivo, beefing with xyz, etc) it's always been that way. You should too.

It's the argument FOR reparations breh, you can't just politely ask for that type of money you have to formulate an argument.

Obviously the data is the meat of the argument, but also the cultural and social aspects of being disenfranchised and undermined by not only white society, but black immigrants as well.

this is no different than a legal argument, put everything on the table <<<< this is ADOS, it's everything including reparations.

And Yvette is just giddy it happened They drop the ball everytime. That "bot" moment was a chance to get on MSNBC and there was no indication that they reached out for a chance for a rebuttal. The argument is fail-proof once they focus on the upbringing and admit that immigrants usually come from much better backgrounds than we do. We gotta keep that 100 so if Yvette and Tone really focus on that even if the reparations argument doesn't fall through that should work.

It's a good idea because it's an obvious disparity between the groups and immigrants are doing much better off as a whole so it's fail-proof once you hit the right topics.

It might seem funny to people now since we're so used to laughing and looking down at others but once you get them to think and get people behind it the movement should really take off.

Like how the liberals push black female victimization this idea shouldn't really fail. They secured their future if done right.

That's a fair critique of the interview, however Yvette laid our her argument very solidly. She got the point across to (ironically), this brother who is not an ADOS, he was kind of getting in his feelings a bit too

It's a very simple argument. I'm not sure how all these educated people can have so much difficulty understanding it .

I don't agree that it is a hard line, but it is clear that a family being disadvantaged in the USA for 300 years is owed far, far more than one which has been in the USA for 49.

I am not ADOS but #ADOS should get compensated.

Caribbeans / Africans need to get their colonial / slavery compensation from European nations.

Current trade practice needs to be addressed too, but that is a different question.

Probably because instead of belittling and denigrating "jealous non-descendants of the holocaust" like a bunch of freaking children those Jews focused on uniting all Americans around the human tragedy of the holocaust and reconciling it as a noble social justice cause whether you were a victim, a descendant of those victims, or otherwise.

Maybe those Japanese and native Americans, instead of focusing on beefing and bashing other powerless immigrants with no influence over their government, focused on their claim and united people, even those who were not victims, around their social justice causes.

This is a pretty conservative thought process, you're immediately going back into "hustle" and you don't know what those "jews" came to America with in the early 1900s. None of us do just remember how America kisses Israel ass for decades now so I'm assuming something was worked out.

Also don't compare with their own homeland to those without, this is really a bad take. If you have nothing to say just don't say anything at all but spouting nonsense is just foolish. Most of our oil comes from the middle east, who kwows what agreements USA has worked out with Israel? You can't compare that to some black folks from slavery who had their history taken away.
