Anyone who thinks they're going to get reparations by not voting, at this point, is either an open agent or is only operating with half a brain. It's as bad as the people who think that Trump is going to be named the winner of the 2020 election. It doesn't work in any reality.


The ONLY way reparations will ever happen will be through a combination of Democrats becoming more and more economically left-wing (via persuading people with reason or emotion to change their stance, social movements, voting for leftist candidates in primaries, etc.) and Democrats winning more and more elections (via better turn-out campaigns and building a larger coalition).

Just quitting the process will never work because the pro-reparations support isn't even close to high enough to win. Democrats will never lurch left on reparations solely to gain black votes when doing so will lose them moderate white votes and thus easily lose the election. If pro-repartions voters outnumbered anti-reparations voters then they might have a chance, but the #'s aren't even CLOSE. Reparations is stuck at under 30% support when it needs to be over 60% to even have a chance in hell of getting through the senate and president, not to mention the courts. You don't double public support by giving up.

I would guarantee reparations could possibly happen if we had a Congress of Gavin Newsome type Democrats. Only way, not through a third party and sure as fukking hell not through Republicans. Republicans still mad black people got Obama phones.
