With that being said, you can use weapons to defend yourself. Should he have stabbed him? IDK. But your point about both of them being athletes doesn't mean anything. If someone put their hand on you in a threatening manner, you have the right to defend yourself by any means.

Also, Karmelo is 5'9 130 pounds, Austin was 6 foot 220 pounds. Unless Karmelo is an experienced fighter, that just asking to be beat on. Austin was also with his brother who was the same size. I can tell you I'm not having a fair fight with people like that.

i know its not good to speculate but theres no way austin didnt say something to karmelo. i got the impression K was hanging out before the meet and maybe snuck into the other teams tent to clown them or whatever before the event - i want to know what they said to him that made him scared enough to pull a weapon and do that. why would he kill someone hes never met? it makes no sense. austin was a known bully at his school. i think he was either threatened, or hes just straight up crazy. nothing else makes sense!
