I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we somehow pulled off 12-4 in typical cowboys fashion as we seem to always do well when we’re expected to be trash and vice versa (2007,2009,2014,2016)

He see's he's the last man standing. The team isn't the same anymore. It's younger. Too many new faces and new names. Dallas has basically been rebuilding quietly for the past several years. He's not the future or the core of the team.
Romo, Scandrick, Dez...
Those were basically the last players of that era. Times have changed. Witten is basically the team mascot now. He can't contribute like before. The offense won't go threw him and I think he's moving out the way to help the position grow.
