Go to the Doc and tell him the exact symptoms of ADD, tell him these symptoms have been getting worse over the past year and try make up some examples i.e always forgetting appointments, have difficulty concentrating more than few minutes at a time, learning problems etc. DO NOT tell him what to prescribe. 9/10 he will hit you up with a script. 1) Side effects are numerous. Some are minor, some serious, and some very serious. Most users have no clue as to negative side effects and usually don't care. Ignorance, we suppose, is bliss. The most important and most negative side-effect is the Overdose. Overdose with Adderall is nasty. Results include Cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest, death, severe and lasting mental effects/defects. If you overdose at your apartment and are alone, the chance of your living is slim. If you Over Dose at a party, maybe a Frat Party, you've probably bought it. Drunken, high Frat boys are not known for their medical skills or even a modicum of clear thinking. Minor side effects include anxiety, and transient depression. More serious effects include heart palpitations, elevation of blood pressure, Tourette's syndrome, seizures, stroke, and psychotic episodes or plain old psychosis.

2) Adderall is very, very addictive. Along with the 'fun' of physical and psychological damage, this drug opens the awful Pandora's Box of addiction, with all its' sadness, pain and misery. Adderall not only opens this Box, but also resides within. It is a 'gateway' drug, often leading to other fun drugs like cocaine, heroin, E, etc.

WRONG

Adult ADD does not appear out of nowhere. If you tell him you got the symptoms over the last 2 years he gonna mark your ass as drug seeking. ADD usually stems from childhood. Adult onset of attentive type disorders are usually a result of brain trauma and are not treated with ADD meds and usually require brain scans of various types. Tell him your symptoms. Its ok to say I took a quiz on some website and it identified all these symptoms Ive had for a long time. The DOCTOR should be the one to probe deeper. If asked if you had problems as a child say yes. If asked if you use drugs SAY NO. Tell him it affects your work. Ex. You meant to start on projects but you forget and put them off for too long. Tell them his it affects your every day life. He may send you for testing. They will test your focus and ability to stay on task. Obviously to get ADD meds you have to kinda NOT stay on task during the testing but atleast try otherwise they will know youre faking. Getting ADD medicine as an adult without a prior chidlhood diagnosis is very hard nowadays due to people selling the drugs.

And IMO adderral XR is WAY better than vyvansse.

There are tests that specialists use to determine if you have ADD/ADHD. As much as you think you may fit that description its best to have a proper diagnosis from a trained professional.

regular cardiovascular exercise has been known to lesson the symptoms of ADD. Just something to look into before you delve into drugs that could potentially fukk you up.

ADERALL IS SPEED!!!!!!!!!! SPEED friend. This is why College students use it. Its a stimulant. After a month and sometimes less using aderal a friends seratonin system is in Shambles which often leads to depression in people who use the drug which is why the drug is addicting because you are perverting an effect in your body that the body does not do naturally. Depression ensues and a friend has to pop a pill to feel good again. As your body develops a tolerance you are forced to pop more pills, chasing that first high. Please knock it off like a bug on your shoulder, friend. Many college students are in rehab because they thought their mind was stronger than the chemical reaction caused by this drug.

Lets not be willy nilly when we reccomend Drugs to friends. Your casual attitude about drugs can lead a friend, to their doom.

I followed up with something better though. Sad you guys are becoming so defensive of this demonic alchemy. It really shows the type of generation thats being raised. First it was opium/liquor/marijuana/heroin/meth and now its pills. Trading one vice for another and singing the same song drug addicts have been singing for years.

Well when you correct friends so aggressively lets help our friends who are turning to drugs. As a fellow martial artists you should know more than anyone that physical fitness is paramount in maintaining ones sanity without demonic alchemy. Lets not rush in at 100 mph with backflips to chastize friends so passionately but instead redirect that passion to helping friends who are about to turn to the devil to cure their pain. Im not the one that needs help, the individual about to turn to demonic intoxicants is. We're supposed to be friends, friend so lets be friendly so friends can see our friendship and trust that friends have friendly intent when we suggest better routes for reliving stress in friends, friend.
