Yeah, his comment was kinda awkward, but I think he was trying to say it without going all the way in on Morey. Behind the scenes players and GMs wanted him gone.

Windhorst said on his podcast that LeBron tacked on the jabs at Morey because the banana boat group are all mad at him because he cut Carmelo and traded CP3 to OKC.:francis:

That is why it stuck out so bad from all of the good points he was making.

Don’t know much about that, sounds like speculation on his part.

I do know the players had a meeting with Silver and they all said privately what lebron said publicly.

When Brian was saying that I thought it was stupid Melo god bless the dead looking like Flab Melo and Chris Paul who is 40 years old with two bad hamstrings still has three years left on a quarter of a billion contract

Lebron was pissed he had to be out there simple especially when MIT Morey was out of China it also had to have be fukked up that private meetings between players, Adam Silver and non media members leaked already painting a bad picture of Lebron because with the situation who do you think leaked what ?

This became a White man so called burden of yellow man to some bullshyt where the white man was and has been protected by another white man while black man had to take it on now using MLK’s words to silence us

It came out D’Angelo Russell has a deal with Li-Ning worth Millions of dollars, Steph nickname is literally Skyfukker out there, and Klay has a deal with ANTA paying him big money with that stated you would think Steve Kerr would come to the defense of his guys but nope he hid like a p*ssy giving little answers to protect Morey if he wasn’t throwing Pop shots at Trump. This the father of Nick Kerr a former player do you think Mark Jackson would’ve done that ?

Doc Rivers was the only black none player to speak up and I don’t believe he went to China that’s weird

it wasn’t about safety imo. Bron made it up to try to soften the blow after the backlash
There was a B/R article that compiled coverage from the time when the athletes actually were out there, there was an aura of fear from both teams. He might’ve bigged it up after the fact, but there was other factors than just money that caused him to speak out on Morey

Dudes like @DonKnock are missing the real story here.

NBA execs been tryin to get Bron out the paint for a long time now for shifting the power from them to the players.

This is their chance to tell Lebron shut up and play ball. To discredit his word and his work over the years.

When in reality he’s doing what he’s always done. Protecting the players and flexing their power.

Imagine a player sent a tweet that cost the league a billion dollars. You absolutely would not have NBA execs defending said players right to free speech.

It’s crazy to me that y’all don’t see this.

Speaking on that, there was some crazy money lost for many of the players heading there in the preseason, per reports. Bron got some meetings canceled, one anon Laker was supposed to announce a brand signing, few other smaller appearances were canceled too. I don’t disagree with Morey saying what he said, I just don’t know why you’d say it when you know Chinese money has such a hand in the preseason. Get their money then denounce them, don’t hustle backwards :stopitslime:

Steve Kerr is also a ho and him naming his kid Nick is the most :hhh: shyt ever

You acting like they were in a Vietnam jungle with limited to no resources. Nah bruh. It wasn't that serious
China at the least could've pulled some fukkery when it came to letting the teams leave the country.

Or give someone on the team staff some trumped theft charge or some shyt.

Either way China can and will be petty about this...and the major superstars will have a hard time doing business out there.

That has to suck for guys like Lebron and Curry.

Their Chinese fans risk social alienation and other fukkery if they attempt to watch NBA highlights now.

They're defending Kanter's ability to do so right now tho.
