Korean BBQ is fiya don’t get me wrong. The wings are on another level.

But an institution like the GOAT franchise in all professional sports should only have shyt like Apple, Chanel, Ferrari, or Margiela’s as a patch or some shyt.

Does anyone have a subscripton to the Athletic? There was a piece in there about the Lakers yesterday. Another insider reported AD to the 5

Korean bbq is :banderas: though

I have one.

I think this is what you're talking about. It was a Q&A with subscribers by Lakers insider Jovan Buha. He's a solid reporter with connections. He also broke the Trezz-Clippers story last year before he moved over to the Lakers.

He's been pretty adamant about AD starting at center for the past couple of weeks.

What are your expectations for AD, both personally and from the team? — @LakersSupply

I’m expecting a bounce-back season from Davis — and I say “bounce-back” judging him solely by his lofty standards — especially if he starts at center, which I’m currently projecting.

I could see something like 27 points, 11 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.2 blocks and 1.5 steals on a 60.5 true shooting percentage. His free-throw shooting, uncharacteristically down at 73.8 percent after shooting 79.4 percent or better each of the previous four seasons, should improve.

This also could be the season he finally wins Defensive Player of the Year, as this is the worst defensive supporting cast he’s had in Los Angeles. The Lakers don’t have the same caliber of perimeter defenders that they had in 2019-20 (Caldwell-Pope, Green, Alex Caruso, Avery Bradley until the bubble and Playoff Rajon Rondo) or in 2020-21 (Caldwell-Pope, Caruso, Schröder and Wesley Matthews). Turning this group into a top-10 or even top-five defense would warrant serious DPOY consideration for Davis — and Coach of the Year consideration for Vogel.

In one of the few recent photos we’ve seen of Davis, he looks to already be in much better shape than he was during last season. It’s silly to read too much into that, but it also isn’t meaningless, either. No Laker needed an offseason break more than Davis. He was vocal multiple times, including to The Athletic, about how much the shortened offseason affected him. Davis should come out of the gates looking more like the 2019-20 version, if not the New Orleans version. I think the team is expecting the same.

Also Zach Harper on there said

Sources have indicated throughout the summer that Davis is not only willing to play more minutes at center but to start games there.
