true i was in middle school or early high school when 50 came along. i didnt get that vibe from ja rule. his shyt was bumpin and i dont recall him really being that hated. im gonna need others to co sign your opinion before i can verify it, or you to link me to some old source articles or something.

Ja Rule was a severely disliked rapper on the streets, first off he basically Shark bit DMX, second off after Pain is Love, he was dry claiming and trying to emulate Pac when the only thing they had in common was being short. He was then trying to take a more R and B route which just didn't work because he couldn't and hip-hop fans weren't really trying to hear that mess (not for another 3 or 4 years anyway). What made it worse was his pairing with Irv Gotti who was also an irritant. Which I think is why they were so intent on trying to bring Nas under the Murder Inc. fold to bring in some air of legitimacy.

Redman weed carriers used to chill on my old block when I was a kid they used to tell us stories about how those wu nikkas were wild. When Newark dudes are referring to other nikkas as crazy I believe them.

Yea, when I first branched into coordinating musical events, I used to work at this club in Harrison (border of Newark) Killarmy tore that shyt up one night threw chairs and everything because some local goons tried to push up on one of the member's girls (don't remember which one though).
