Yeah that's what I said, Taranji was the villain. Which is Tyler Perry's M.O. If you list any Tyler Perry movie, I can point out how he has the same M.O. You go in thinking the woman is the victim, but it's always because 1) she has a villain mother who raised her wrong 2) she's too impatient or blinded by lust and greed to do the right thing; or 3) she just doesn't appreciate a good man. This is Tyler Perry's bread and butter. Black women who play victims but really can't see the light. Ain't nothing ground breaking about what he's doing here. Same old schtick.

there really wasnt anyone to root for entirely. she was only the villain in the end when she completely lost her mind. it was a lowbudget little movie that prolly broke even its opening wkend. of the tp movies ive had to see i thought this one of the better ones.

Throwback to the early 90s romantic thriller with a trash ending.

Plus the dude who played the young version of Jamie Overstreet was clearly

It was entertaining and lifetime worthy at the same time.

I thought this one was gonna be different. I was wrong.

this is too surreal

1st off, i ironically created this thread not having an idea what this movie was going to be about.

2nd, im from Pittsburgh (where the movie was made) and recongized everything

and

3rd, this whole plot is my life to the tee

i'm robert and my ex is definitely Taraji



i was in a similar situation where my ex helped me out during hard times in the beginning of our relationship and she sacrificed alot time (not so much money) on me and then the baby made us be virtual roommates and sex got stale, and she got some hater sisters and family members who think i'm wack but she was loyal, etc

and i probably owe her alot but now that we split and although i aint ever gonna have a 150 million dollar battery deal, if my ex ever sees me with another girl and living my best life, i'm convinced she gonna shoot me too on some "you owe me your life" psycho shyt as well. She can be nuts and she doesn't know it and if she doesn't shoot me, im sure she gonna wish she could

i'm currently in the process of voluntarily paying her back before she snaps just like Robert tried to do

No, you have it twisted. He always has a GOOD man who is misunderstood by a black woman who just isn't patient or discerning enough to see his potential. The black women in his movies are the evil and dangerous ones.

I'm done with Tyler Perry. He's not even B-movie entertaining anymore. I hope Taraji looks back on this and is ashamed of herself.

You know there was moment there when dude gave her that 10 million dollar check and you see the actors really selling it that I thought...

wow...this movie is actually decent.

And then it suddenly became one of the most ridiculous (granted I haven't see many Tyler Perry films lately) shyt I've seen in a long time. Like damn Tyler let someone else direct your shyt (that's talented) and bring on a writer to cut shyt out that makes no sense. Thee was no reason for Tarajij's character to have THAT breakdown.

shyt must be contagious....several members of my fam broke out into an argument over this movie tonight at Thanksgiving dinner...and I had no clue why so I said fukk it...i'mma watch this movie TONIGHT!!!...

movie had potential then just got bat shyt retarded at the end....one of the reasons I never trust a Tyler Perry movie...but the way these kats was arguing about it had me curious like "damn..this might be a piff flick"....
