Most Aborigines have lost their ancestors name because of the "stolen generation" program in which the 19th-20th century Australian governments abducted all Aborigine children with any cac ancestry(products of rape) and placed them in white homes or church run institutions, in an attempt to breed out the blackness out of aborigines and assimilate them in white society. Thats why most Aborigines who live in the East coast have considerable cac ancestry. The only pure aborigines now live in the Northern Territory(the Outback). Theres many white Australians who dont even know they have aboriginal ancestry. Theres a good chance she has "Aborigine" parents but theyre probably highly diluted themselves . Most Aboroigines of the "stolen generation" dont know which tribe their aboriginal ancestors came from or their language or culture. They are a lost people.
Archie Roach, an Aborigine artist and activist made a moving song about his experience as a member of the stolen generation
It makes me sad when i think about it
