AB and Gordon run deep routes, which take time to develop.
Brady has been getting the ball out quickly in the last 2 seasons, to avoid taking a hit.
He's 42. This signing guarantees he's gonna take a handful of extra hard hits a game if they want to utilize AB the way he's been used for his career.
They just traded a pick to get Buffalo's backup center, who they cut a week later--their Oline is filled with hacks and injured youngsters.
The upside to this signing is obviously huge, but you guys are handing over that title pretty early.
It's not all aces in New England. I could just as easily see Brady walking off the field with do do birds flying around his head against the Jets as I can see them going 15-1.
When old QBs go, they go hard and they go fast. Ask Manning. Ask Jim Kelly. As Favre.
Since everyone in America is giving them their 7th ring, I'll be the contrarian:
7-9, Gordon cut by October.

Can’t guarantee anything but with two deep threats and Brady seeing healthy, do you know how much that opens the play book for these cats...?

They didn’t need anymore help to begin with. They’ll probably be a balanced run offense as well so the safeties in a island...

If they can stay out of unlucky bullshyt like injuries they will dominate, as usual :francis:

Sue for what

They’re the ones that took away his guaranteed money and cut him

Nobody forced them to do that
:mjlol:That’s not how it works. They have at least a decent case that he didn’t enter the contract in good faith. Which is “sue-able”

Actually AB is not known for deep routes. He is known as an amazing route runner who instinctively gets open and makes great catches.
AB's average yards per catch last year was 12.5. Julian Edelman's was 11.5. Josh Gordon's was 18.0.
So he's actually an excellent complement to Patriots WRs. Gordon goes deep, Edelman possession, AB intermediate.
