Not having hands means you don't know how to control your hands. And not knowing how to fight would mean you have no idea about judging distance, knowing where to put your feet, etc. therefore just being placed in front of someone and throwing punches is likely to get someone at least accidently punched.

And yeah, watch Maury fights and Jerry Springer it's much of the same thing a punch that lands on the back of the ear, a bunch of grabbing and pulling, some closed fisted thumps to the top and side of head, no real damage, but everyone is excited.
