The more I read about Aaron, the more I understand why we only had four seasons of The Boondocks in nine years.

Carl Jones said that they spent two years working on a season and they had no social life when they did. Aaron was a perfectionist and he was constantly overworked, especially during the first season because he was working on that and the comic strip at the same time. Season three was supposed to be the last one before Sony renewed it for 20 more episodes, and Aaron had a falling out with Carl because he felt like Carl was trying to leave Boondocks so he could work on Black Dynamite (even though Carl said that he was never going to leave, and tried coming back to help with season four when production was taking too long).
