One of the best right handed hitters to ever live too. Manny also had an incredible eye and he broke down hitting to a science. Son was in tune with the force.

Exactly. Same with A-Rod. These dudes were all great fukking hitters with great mechanics. They just happened to play during a time period where the pressure was on and everyone was roided up. That doesn’t excuse them taking drugs but it also doesn’t take away from the amazing talents they had.

Bonds was no longer an MVP caliber player anymore until he started juicing for his 2nd peak.

That's a horrible take. Please point out the year he was no longer MVP caliber. His OPS was over 1000 every year in the 90's. His lowest OPS+ was 156. I'm a Dodger fan and can say honestly, Barry never fell off.

Wait, what?!
When Ruth hit 60, the regular season length was 154 games. In 1961 (the year Maris hit 61), the season in the AL was extended to 162 games (the NL didn't extend the season to 162 til the following year). Thus, the commissioner gave Maris' 61 home runs an asterisk, since he didn't break Ruth's record til the final day of the season.
