Via the Boston Herald, prosecutors disclosed during the bail hearing for Ernest Wallace (pictured) that Ortiz now claims that only Hernandez exited the car before Odin Lloyd was shot and killed in an industrial park near Hernandez’s Massachusetts home.

Previously, Ortiz supposedly said that both Hernandez and Wallace got out of the car, and that Wallace later told Ortiz that Hernandez had admitted to shooting Lloyd. (That’s an odd admission for Hernandez to make to Wallace, since Wallace presumably was aware of the shooting.)

The summary of evidence presented without testimony from Ortiz successfully kept Wallace behind bars subject to $500,000 bail. But the contradiction in Ortiz’s testimony could help give Hernandez’s lawyers enough ammunition to create reasonable doubt, via the Chewbacca defense or otherwise.

It’s a low bar, and it Ortiz can’t get his story straight as to the most critical moment for the case, why should a jury believe anything he says?

Hernandez might just beat this murder charge..

Hernandez is getting off because no real evidence he pulled the trigger! Could have been any of the 3 and you can't arrest them all for murder. Hernandez and Wallace should flip it and say Ortiz shot dude!

Ortiz obviously has had someone approach him regarding Wallace and now he back tracking.

Wake.
This latest news had me confused for a bit because I would think that would clear up who pulled the trigger if only Hernandez got out the car. But I get what people are saying in that if the witness is changing up his story than he's already losing what credibility he had.

And yeah Hernandez might beat the murder charge but he still gonna fall on them weapons charges. Them joints got 5-10 year minimums too so yeah he ain't playing no more football regardless.

nahhh, he's facing 3 years for someone without a record, good behavior and all that he'll be out in 18 months, by the time his trial starts it'll be like a year and change so that counts towards his sentencing.
