Looking more and more as if AH was bankrolling a weed ring and Lloyd robbed him or something.
Ya'll are reaching. It is what it is and what's been reported. AH thought Lloyd was plotting on him. He was extremely paranoid. Seems like he had his hand in a few prior shootings and dabbled in drugs. Sounds like Lloyd could link him to all of it.
The moment he saw Lloyd talking to some nikkas he didnt like.....The paranoia eventually got to him. He didn't want to lose everything he had. Getting away with all of that prior shyt and having the money and notoriety got to him and he became sloppy.
A nikka wallowing in paranoia without anyone around to rationilize shyt is a dangerous dangerous thing.
By the sounds of it it seems like Ortiz had no clue they were about to do dirt like that.
going to the club, getting into beef, and being complacent with the "lets kill those nikkas" is completely different from going to the club, seeing nikkas squash beef. And then having your boys kill someone and catch you completely by surprise.
That's as bytch of a move as snitching.
You've had some really insightful posts in this thread, and I respect everything you've brought to the discussion, and you may very well be right....but based on the texts and their context, it seems there was at the very least, other elements to the whole thing. From the beginning I wondered what the guise was for AH picking up Lloyd from his house at 2:00 AM...it appears the conversation adds to light to this, what was Lloyd holding for Hernandez, that he was picking up? Work? Money? Maybe just a Gucci belt or something...but the language of the texts hints at something else...'You gon be around later? I need to grab dat'...

I think they were definitely doing dirt together. Probably selling drugs. Those texts are definitely in reference to that. I agree with you there with all of that.
But I think the motive is that he thought Lloyd was going to turn on him. Not a drug deal gone bad or owed money.
But another quick point , what kind of person is selling drugs with a 40 million dollar deal on the table. Seems like AHern just wanted to be about that life and maybe put some nikkas on.
Ya and from the pictures of Ortiz that were floating around on the Internet it seemed he was at least trying to be a father to his young kid.

Maybe Hernandez picked up his ways from the patriots. The patriots got a problem with a player they "get rid" of them

and it's always swift and abrupt with no emotionYes, I don't think the actual killing was over owed money, or drugs, Odin Lloyd seems like kind of an idiot, so I'm guessing he hustled small time, and either AM picked up from him regulatory, and just used it that night as the ruse to see him...or AH was more directly involved, like financing his investments, or fronting him the work, with the former being more likely.
On the second point, I don't know on a personal level any celebs or athletes, or anyone else worth $40 million, but I am very close with people who had way too much money without working, way too young, and they acted very much like Hernandez. Same exact type of shyt, as far as hanging around a bunch of losers, maybe financing their operations or supporting them, even getting involved themselves, just doing dirt in general...A kid I knew since he was 15, got murdered 2 months ago, perfect example of this affliction. Kid was rolling with known bangers, doing dirt, and got caught up. AH seems more like the darker side of this whole thing, but that's like a technicality.
Also, regards to the work, remember that Bears player that got picked up about 18 months ago? They want to make moves, financially, and I respect it...but they go about it in the worst ways...you out the streets..people kill for that, and you want to do the same shyt people are doing to GET to where you AT.

There have been a few ball players that have been caught trafficking coke and other shyt. Some that put up the seed money for drug operations. I don't think they had 40mil though.
Think about it, they have the money to buy major amounts. they don't have to give half up in taxes, or lawyers or agents.
It just seems like Hernandez was more into the violent side of that life than he should've been.
