I grew up with someone that murdered a person and had that same look when he got caught. Plus he has "high priced lawyers" so that probably makes him feel invincible

I doubt it, that nikka is a flight risk to society. He could possibly get house arrest with the electronic ankle monitor but that may be a stretch as well.
