y'all are looking at this wrong (and this is why I said you guys will hedge your bets). If you draft win now pieces, that's fine, but they'd become useless as trade chips. You gotta look at Kuminga (and to a lesser extent, Moody) as prospects a baseball team got in the minors who obviously aren't ready for a win now team but if they develop, their value may increase. They just have to show flashes of their skills without fukking up off the court. That way, if a star does become available, you still have attractive prospects. Y'all got three intriguing trade chips. Just don't depreciate their value. That's where Atkinson comes in.
By the time their "value may increase" it'll be wasted time, burning more of Steph's prime and this core's window. Case in point: Wiseman; just look at where his value is, at the moment. He went from being gassed as the next DRob to now looking like JaVale McGee with Penny Hardaway on speed dial. And if the Warriors are giving reps to Wiseman, Moody and Kuminga, chances are they're not going to be winning on the regular to even raise their value.

And I don't even disagree with who they drafted, because it makes sense as they both were essentially BPA, but it's painful to see what will be essentially the same makeup of a roster heading into next season.

Oh sure, but it goes back to the same problem I've been saying all along. Whoever that big man is, or whoever that star is for that matter, that player isn't available right now. Poor timing. When that player becomes available, do the Warriors wanna be assed out on picks and prospects?

Warriors have more than enough assets to be creative. I'm not buying that Myers exhausted every avenue to get the appropriate help. He's already made it clear that he has the future in mind, so quite clearly he never had any intention on pushing all his chips in to win this season.

The future should always be in mind, but I just don't think there's a lot of avenues out there to get the kind of help that puts Golden State over the top right now.

The only future the Warriors should be caring about right now is making sure they do everything in their power to seize this core's dwindling window.

From Atlanta to San Fran to LA 4now
you cant win it every year it takes the right team and timing this a year with the lakers who added russ you got the brooklyn core coming back the bucks are still top tier what move could they have made to jump or compete with brooklyn or LA THIS year. barnes is getting better every year you get one of these rookies to show some promise you either got good trade pieces or guys that can contribute when the super teams get a year older. :yeshrug:

I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't particularly rate Paschall; I think he's someone the Warriors should look to move while his value is high.
Warriors need to trade Paschall while he still has some perceived value.
You've lost all credibility with that statement
Curious to know if you've changed your tune on Paschall. Just imagine what the Warriors would've got when his value was at it's highest.

:skip: have nikkas decided that LA is still a top tier team with Westbrook?
