So you would rather guarantee taking a Joe Harris type rookie instead of waiting a couple of years for a Paul George type of rookie to develop.. Not knocking you for feeling that way but I personally care about the future.
I want sustained excellence not a championship or bust gamble when we still might not have a good enough team to truly contend even if we go all in.
Here's the problem with this:
This core of Steph, Klay and Draymond is a once-in-a-lifetime type thing. This is as good as it gets as fan; you'll be 70 years old reminiscing about this period because nothing will ever come close to replicating this dominance. Hoping for a Paul George-type is running the same race all these others teams are, which results in nothing more than a playoff appearance, which ultimately ends in them leaving for greener pastures, particularly with the state the league is in now where players have more control over their destiny than ever before.
This is why you go all in now, because it's not just the best option, it's the
only option.
