Some more good reddit posts from today:

Nice post. Thanks for posting it

u guys remember when the Spurs drafted Kawhi, he was an immediate contributor? I think that’s what we need with our picks. I doubt we are gonna get a star, and Bob and Joe don’t wanna pay a ton of money for someone unless it’s a star. So it’s a safe best to assume we are drafting.

Kawhi was a big help to a 35 year old Tim Duncan, and 31/32 year old Ginobili. We just need someone to be capable like that

Side Note: I don’t really care if whoever we choose is a reach for our pick. I never understood why that matters in our case. If we can get a “contribute now” player instead of drafting someone who is a project but projected to fall in our spot, I’d just take the “now” player

So you’re saying we need to draft an all time great player? Lol

I mean kawhi didn’t become an excellent player until 14-15. Every year until that one, he was just a capable role player

that’s what we need. No one knew he was gonna be a star when he was a rookie

I just thought of something what if Dubs keep a line up of Weisman, Dray, Klay and Steph.. Trade Wiggins for Ben straight up(money works) and throw the 14th pick in with it since Morey going to try to demand more when he’s in no position to get anything other than a straight up trade.. That 7th pick we take another wing. Y’all think that’s going to work? :patrice:

Steph
Klay
Ben
Dray
Weisman

low key Ben will end up developing a decent mid range where he won’t be under pressure to shot the 3 ball and then you can run him at PG when Steph sits :leon:

Draymond Green, Ben Simmons and Weisman together would be awful offensively

How so when you have Klay and Steph on the floor? Weisman can hit the midrange and shoot the 3…. If anything Dray and Ben would be on and off ball defenders and off ball playmakers… There wouldn’t be any pressure for Ben to shoot the 3 when you have both Klay and Steph that can hit it with elite consistency, Weisman can hit it on average and Dray can step into a 3 once in a while… The floor spacing would be great for Ben 15-18ft from the basket.. Also Ben can play Center if dubs go small ball because he’s another ball handler and playmaker on the floor

Why do yall want Benjamin button so much? Him and Dray would be a disaster. We'll have 2 players scared to shoot that refuse to work on their shooting in our starting line up :hhh:

Don’t see the Forrest from the trees brehs… When has Dray been scared to shoot? Another thing how would Ben and Dray be a disaster when Golden state offensive system is built around Steph and moving without the ball? you think Ben would be standing around all day? Those off ball cuts to the basket Ben would eat

The Warriors need more shooters. What made them deadly was that Draymond used to take shots (and be really decent at them) and Harrison Barnes/KD could as well, + Iguodala with death lineups.

But Dray can't shoot anymore, Klay won't return at the start of the year, and Ben Simmons can't shoot for shyt. And Both Dray and Ben's scoring abilities in the paint have declined as well. So defenses can play The warriors 5 on 3.

They should sign and trade Oubre away for Danny Green (3&D), and just continue filling out the roster with decent 3pt shoooting role players.
