Yeah I definitely remember everybody basically giving LeBron a pass for losing (both times) and no one wanted to gice KD credit.

It doesn't help that the Warriors FO and them lowkey dissed him at the parade either. KD never had a chance to be recognized the best player under his circumstances, but he should've knew that he wouldn't. It took LeBron a long time

Kerr Post Game:


Thoughts on the Game Today (vs Kings):
  • Thought on 4th Quarter/End of the Game Performance: Thought they brought great energy
    • Tough way to lose, but complimented Guy on his shot and still thought the young Warriors performed well
  • Kerr was very disappointed in the defense in the first half, Thought they lost focus

  • What Team Needs to Fix Before the Season Opener: Better offensive execution and Making simpler plays at both ends "We got to get better at our offensive execution and we got to make sure we're making real simple plays at both ends. I thought we made a lot of head scratching plays"
    • Specific examples Kerr noticed - Simple outlet passes they threw away; Certain rotations they made which led to shooters being open; Not understanding personnel, Fouling in the 2nd quarter (When they were already in the bonus by then)
    • Overall, need to really gain their focus (Hopefully, by Thursday's game)
Team's Focus on Making 3s:
  • How Important Having Centers Making 3s for the Offense: "Way of the world these days. Everybody practices 3s"
    • Notes Chriss have been working really hard (made a few of them)
    • Has all the Bigs stretch the floor in practice every day
  • Trend of Warriors Attempting 40+ 3s a Night? (Warriors took 42 3s tonight, 40 3s Against the Nuggets): "This is the modern NBA"
    • Kerr hasn't mentioned how many 3s he wants the team to take, Mainly emphasized spacing
    • Mentioned how previously they played with more motion than spacing, Even cluttered the lane but there was purpose (A lot of Screening & Cutting due to players who understood angles like Livingston, Iguodala, West)
    • Since the younger players that now make up the Warriors grew up with the 3s era of the NBA, Warriors have to switch to teaching spacing
    • Trying to have the guys making the 3s open up the paint for the drivers like Wiggins and Oubre
On Steph Curry:
  • What Got Steph Really Going: "I Think Steph got Steph going"
    • Steph spent training camp Getting the team organized, Getting to know them, Help them along
    • Tonight, Steph focused on getting himself going
    • Steph was more Aggressive and Looked to score from the start
    • Kerr thought he needed this to Find his rhythm and Be ready to go next week for the season opener
  • On If New Teammates Have Adjusted to Playing with Steph Yet: Few plays, but plenty more when they didn't
    • "We don't look organized offensively right now. We look like a team that's a week into practice"
    • Wants to get better in terms of Execution, Organization, Getting people into the right positions first and foremost
    • Once they focus on those core issues first, being able to play with Steph will eventually happen (Too disorganized right now)
    • Thinks he and his coaching staff deserve the blame and will work on it
  • Will Kerr Increase Steph's Minutes to 30 for Thursday's Game: "Not necessarily. We'll see how he feels Thursday."
    • Think Steph is on the right pace to get back to where he needs to be
    • Wants to play Steph on average 34 min/game (If possible)
    • Steph asked to stay in for the 3rd quarter to improve his conditioning level
On Andrew Wiggins:
  • Thoughts on Wiggins' Performance So Far: Thinks his defense is really good (focus on training right now), Wants him to become a big time defender
    • Offensively, been fine for preseason standards (Older players typically take a bit of time to get their rhythm like in any preseason)
    • As they move forward, they will have "more sets for him and try to free him up for shots"
Draymond & Wiseman Update:
  • Scrimmage Plans Involving Draymond & Wiseman Tomorrow (Scrimmaging is a necessary step to be cleared to play in games): "We'll see"
    • Definitely will scrimmage the younger players tomorrow, Plans to gather 10 players to do 5-on-5 basketball
  • On Draymond's and Wiseman's Expected Impact:
    • While they need Wiseman's Size & Athleticism, focused on finding the right balance between Giving him the opportunity and "Not force feeding him too much"
    • Draymond will Change their defensive intensity and Organize their offensive organization
On Alen Smailagic Plans:
  • Plan for Smailagic: Continue help Smailagic develop
    • Continue to work with him every day in practice
    • Hope he can continue to make progress

KD hit the same shot in the same spot on Bron twice in the finals to fukk a finish to the finals.. Had Bron literally trying to switc off KD to guard someone else :mjlol:

but BSPN wit the narrative even tho Bron got his ass smoked twice in back to back finals by KD

Yup

and nikkas don’t give KD that same rope they give bron when KD lost to the Heatles in 2012

KD and Russ, with a bench playing Harden beat the Spurs in 2012 4 straight times. And that 2012 Spurs team won their last 20 games, and swept their way to the Conf Finals
