I'm not answering the question because it's based on an invalid comparison, what did you have to do to be classified as Black, do police officers do DNA test to make sure they aren't harassing and killing people who aren't actually Black?

:patrice:

for whites, just having a hint of afro features will get one classified as black. does that mean black folks should accept their rules towards classifying our tribe? or do you believe our classification should be based solely on how whites feel at the time?

Then if you really want to go deeper into it, how many "black" mixed and half breeds are represented in crime and poverty statistics as black and how many are represented as as white :sas2: I wonder what's the agenda behind this "one drop rule" and why it is accepted as the standard :mjpls:

Then when Half breeds and afro Latinos climb the socioeconomic ladder they claim and are looked at as "other", white, or some other bullshyt that's anything other than black but when it's lower class and crime related everyone's now black all of a sudden

"Everyone wants to be a nikka but nobody wants to be a nikka"

People bend the rules for their own personal agenda.

If it's more advantageous to for them to identify black/white when the time is right. They'll do just that.

In the black community she was. Halle's appeal was more universal. But Janet is built how we like our women built and is gorgeous at the same time.
:dead: so you're saying black men chose janet jackson over halle berry? :duck:

1. Wasn't Whitney Houston dating the CEO of Sony, Tommy Mottola of one of them kinda cats. Who wanted to market her to white woman when she dropped in the 80s. Hence the "Wanna dance with somebody" the blonde hair and white woman make up that looked like clown face. Not to mention the lightening of her skin in the early videos. Whitney was the black girl that record companies sold to white girls.

And you don't think nikkas thought prime Whitney was gorgeous :usure:

Quoting myself to prove my point, brothers thought she was nice due to her enhanced "european features".

Like we don't know thats the standard for black beauty set by the mainstream.

The more European your features, light skin, straight hair, slim nose. The more "beautiful" you are

it dilutes blackness into a cease pool of every other racial groups run off. while keeping their own tribes exclusive. as not to create division, or false representation. plus it keeps wealth within their group.

that's an invalid comparison, white people have classified us as Black and it literally required us to do nothing.

when whites classified us as Black we didn't start wearing Black suits to validate their classification, we just had to exist in our Black bodies.

Sorry dude. @marcuz gave a perfect retort to your "well white people see them as..." argument. Blacks have never had the social power to decide what and who we are. We just been taking orders from the dominate society. Not me.

the thing is, black folks haven't even tried to fight against the one drop rule. a lot of us use white supremacy as a smoke screen.

if you take white people out the room entirely, black folks still believe they can create black children from non-black partners. so i tire of these nikkas blaming whites for the one drop rule, when they'd cosign the shyt regardless.

you can call yourself whatever you decide as an individual but White people decide who's classified as what and what the implications of those classifications are.

so if whites classified you as a dog, would you start barking? :usure: why or why not? remember now, they've still got the power to treat you like one if you resist

Coz once you hear what I have to say you'll probably agree, as we're like minded.

1. Wasn't Whitney Houston dating the CEO of Sony, Tommy Mottola of one of them kinda cats. Who wanted to market her as a white woman when she dropped in the 80s. Hence the "Wanna dance with somebody" the blonde hair and white woman make up that looked like clown face. Not to mention the lightening of her skin in the early videos. 2. Tariji or whatever aint rated as a standard for black beauty

3. The standards for Black Beauty currently is Nikkki, Beyonce, Rihanna. All skin bleaching girls, "light skin goodesses" all three are marketed to look biracial.

Truth be told for Beyonce to wear her NATURAL hair in a video would cause more controversy than if she didn't .

I see the treue black standard of beauty as natural beauty that young women without money for weave, make up to make their noses look slimmer etc can look up to .

This is the only black beauty to reach mainstream, without being marketed as biracial.

I agree to an extent. They did market Whitney to white audiences but there was no questioning her blackness. As far as Taraji goes what black actress has been hotter than her over the past decade? You make a valid point with Nicki, Beyoncé, and Rihanna but we all kno none of them are biracial

Whitney had the same features as your average African American woman :comeon:
