A.V. vs. C-STYLES [L] UPDATE: WHO WANT NEXT?!

this thread was hilarious... major throwback to the old forum days when cats used to battle all the time and people would give constructive feedback on top of the obligatory shyt talk.

C-styles was better than expected... and i cannot re-iterate this clearly enough........ i expected his shyt to be VERY trash. your shyt was 500% better than all the other clips i've seen of you.. but if i'm being honest your delivery/flow/lyrics are usually a 1/10 so this shyt was 5/10 ... 6/10 for the suprise factor for it actually being servicable.. flow was average (better than ur on track shyt) multis wre slightly above average...u tried some schemes.. "black card/new money/transparencyglass house" etc kinda aiight but didn't hit super hard.

^just my honest opinion bro, don't wanna come off as a major hater.. I respect people who are passionate about shyt and follow through.. u been pushing this music thing for years and there is incremental improvement i guess (i mean you aint never doin' that 2 remotes level production ever again etc). My feedback would be... maybe be more open to feedback and be flexible, keep trying different things.. ask your producers if you think you should spit differently.. try other shyt with your delivery..You have a decent ear for beats but you tend to rap outta time.. ask your producers for feedback and tell them to be honest.. i'm a musical cat - if i was producing your shyt i would makes ure you were actually on beat. Try different shyt with your voice.. alotta your tracks you sound the same delivery wise (and lets be real... alotta people out here aint saying ur shyt is dope.. so maybe try something different). Maybe look into chanelling your passion for music in other ways.. helping ur stepson out is a start but maybe get your bread up and try help manage other up and comers.. im sure you've made a lot of contacts over the years.. etc. u seem savvy in the way you promote yourself honestly that shyt could be a lane for u. Overall congrats - i thought this was going to be a viral-level disaster for your image.

with that being said...

A.V still got you beat pretty significantly.

Delivery and flow was more effective. Lyrically ctsyles prob had more multis was was slightly more technical but A.V just wrecked you with personals/harder hitting bars and sometimes not using mut;is and just focusing on delivery and getting a message acrosss wins out.

This guy kept changing up the dates that by the time we did have a set date, i had to rush and hurry up. Should've just said to do it on this date from the rip. Regardless he did give himself away a bit by mentioning that roc nation deal, his new found money, the drake diss so my eyes were wide open like a running back seeing a big hole and was like "oh he giving me a lot to work with" and i'm sure this was new found knowledge for the coli as well so that's why it kinda hit different now that one of their "Gods" was shedding a bit blood

Just a question, with the "apple didn't fall far from the tree" line, were you dissing the stepson's real dad there? Acknowledging he's the stepson and then saying the apple don't fall far from the tree would indicate to me you weren't dissing C-Styles with that line.

Pleasantly surprised by @C-Styles Aggressive delivery, some nice lines in there and that verse would’ve killed a majority of the people on here who hate on him

But, @A.V. is clearly the more polished and skilled emcee and he did a nice job striking the balance of hard hitting lines with a “this shyt is light work” effortless flow. @A.V. took that though it wasn’t a body bag. Respect to both emcees for stepping up to the challenge

Cstyles spit his best verse since the last time he had to battle someone and did better than expected, but still got bodied something serious in the process.

Dude only sounds tolerable when he tires to spit fast and aggressive. (even that needs more work, but its a start) But when he tries to rap normal, that shyt just sounds awful. Off beat, on beat, no rhythm, soul, or swag, corny ass voice, etc.....

Thread and the poll votes also shows why the Coli will never blow anyone up even though there's so much talent here. If we all can't agree that AV is the better rapper and had the better diss, then its a fukking wrap.

What it is, is @C-Styles set the bar so low, that when he actually did try his hardest (And make no doubt about it, this is him at his BEST and it's still trash,) it's seen as competitive.



nikkas might not like the arrogance, the confidence, or the fact that I'm just dismissive and disrespectful to the boy, and fukkboys like him, so they voted his way. Couple nikkas voted for him just to spite me, and that's cool. Salute to you goofies.

At the end of the day, as it's been said several times before, C-Styles tried his HARDEST (against my minimal effort) and still took an L. That's all that matters here.
