I can understand folk wanting perimeter players to get some shine, but Noah's defensive impact isn't just anchoring like other pro-typical 5s. He literally covers every single area in the half-court and every single player too. If they watched the games, they wouldn't be talking about any perimeter player.

Its hard to really define everything he does defensively for this team, and yet he rates statistically high in any defensive barometers you can find

I cant think of any logical players who could even be awarded over him. The Bulls rely on their defense to win them games more than any other team in the league, their record is a testament to Noah and the constant energy and determination he brings to literally every play.

Watching Noah disrupt pick and rolls better than anyone in the league, helping on the weakside, getting backed down in the post only to swat away a shot attempt, switching to a perimeter player and forcing him into a jumpshot, grabbing a defensive board and starting a fast break, etc, etc ... dude is the total package on defense
