It's not based on who's better. She offered the world in comparison to what he brought to the table. She was the only Presidential candidate in history with experience in all three branches while the guy was a horrible president and had far shyttier policies. Many times she went above and beyond while he half-assed it, got destroyed in debates, picked JD Vance as the Vice President, etc. She was x100 better the candidate to get 1/10 the credit. This was a mismatch on paper.

I've lost so much interest in talking about and paying attention to politics now. shyt is ass. I'm honestly done voting.
It's a waste. Spending all that time and energy arguing about it, proving your points, etc. to see that these are the results at the end of it.

They're going to tell me all these excuses about why I should "Trust the system and blah, blah, blah" simply to talk at me or guilt trip.

But this goes to show all that other shyt doesn't matter.

Skin color > merit.

The one thing the DMC party needs to do going forward is to stop treating black men like were special needs children. Even the Biden quote early on when he says “You’re not black if you don’t vote for me” was in bad taste. Then you got Kamala coming in wagging her finger at us and it’s like damn. Instead of taking down to us….maybe you talk to us instead? Why assault our intelligence?

Even with the black men that still supported it was going to be an uphill task. Kamala is not strong enough of a candidate to compete against Trump and the machine he has behind him. It’s like 2016 on steroids. The groundwork was being laid since 2020 after he lost.

Hispanics would rather side with a racist old turd than a mixed black woman. We know they will do anything to get the honorable white pass. We know White women will side with they’re cac men because white trumps everything else (no pun).

The “You’re a woman! Vote for me because I’m a woman” is just a weak strategy. I don’t see a woman of any kind being President in my lifetime. Hell, I thought I would never see a black man be president but Obama was anomaly.

At the end of the day, it is what it is. America despite being a true melting pot will always be dominated by racism and controlled by racists.

Why is the bar so low for Trump? His entire campaign was in bad taste.

Almost 15 million less people voted democrat this go round vs only 3 million less for Trump. Black and Latino Democrat voting dropped 10% and voted Trump. That is frightening.

That's a good point. Pundits just mention the growing share of the Black and Latino male vote that went for Trump. But I would like to see a breakdown of the overall turnout for those two demographics in 2024 vs 2020. I'm sure a lot of Trump's growing share was driven by sharp decreases in Black and Latino men who voted for Biden not voting in this election, not only by Trump securing more votes from them.

To be honest the boundaries of “left wing” and “right wing” defined in the United States are a bit unique.

The Democratic Party has such a broad spectrum that in most countries the “moderate democrats” would be right wing. Certainly moderate democrats would be the right wing party in Germany, UK or Canada. Note I’m not saying Far Right wing.

Edit- checking my citations around Universal Health Care- in 2024 Kamala Harris dropped Universal Health Care as a policy platform for the Democratic Party in the United States. That would put her platform further right on a major issue than the right wing platforms for the right wing parties in Germany, UK and Canada. So perhaps the Overton Window in the U.S. has moved the Democrats to the right of the right wing in those countries now.

It’s just the republican party in the U.S. that is so extreme right wing that it resets the field.

So back to the point saying AI systems lean more left-wing is an American point of view. The right wing in the U.S. rejects a lot of science and facts. So anything factual will lean left in an American view. In the global context I’m not so sure that is true. I’m not sure the study holds up when looked at broadly.
