Wish I was in this this thread while the album was still brand new...
Easily the best Hip-Hop album of the year for me. When Tip made the announcement for this album never in a million years did I think I was going to hear something this great. Such high quality. I was scared it would sound a bit outdated... thought it would just be a personal fav of mine...simply cause I've been a tribe stan since I was a kid...but true greatness doesn't fade brehs. Tribe outdid themselves in nearly every regard.
The gods never lost it. Tip still spitting harder than like, 90% of rap. Melatonin? Who else could pull that off?
His last verse on Black Spasmodic? Contender for verse of the year. Dude has serious breath control.
I always had Tip as a contender for personal GOAT, but this project here has shown me it doesn't have to be personal anymore.
Only a handful of artists can do what tribe did...coming back years later and still making a mark.
I've listened to this album so much, I could go on and on...
Thankfully, Thank you for your service still sounds brand new to my ears...
