if qtips last solo is any indication it will not be anywhere near trash

He's had some interesting collaborations in the past few years - a bunch of artists ranging from Esperanza Spalding to Pusha T - I think his understanding of music is probably way broader than it was since 'The Love Movement'. Wouldn't surprise me if he picked up a bunch of tricks since ' The Renaissance' too.

I wondered a bit about that, but I'm buying it of respect and appreciation. I do, however, think this will be at least good. The Love Movement is their worst by their own admission, and I would bump that over 75% of the rap I like of the past few years. It sucks that Dilla isn't here either, but people forget Q-Tip is crazy behind the boards. His ear for loops alone should get him a pass. Unless this isn't sample based, I refuse to believe this will soind like trash. I'm really hoping it actually sounds like a New York album. Maybe it could spark some true NYC Hip-Hop:manny:. I can only hope.
