I'm still trippin' on Jarobi, tho....son really pulled the biggest "Gotcha!" of all-time. This is like when I saw the video of Del & LONS freestyling, and their dancer Geronimo(who usually said nothing) just started snappin' outta nowhere lol. I knew Jarobi had the EVITAN thing with Dres, but wow.

shyt just makes no sense breh

25 years as a part of one of the most legendary groups in Hip Hop history, and this nikka ain't rap on not one damn song

Then outta nowhere, he jumps on the mic and bodies everybody :dwillhuh: :whew:

It would be dope af if they continued on as a group with Tip, Jarobi, Ali, Busta, and Cons, with Phife's estate still getting his cut off future albums, tours, merch, etc..

This is just.... absolute fire :wow:

I actually didn't expect much, because 90s hip hop producers (not rappers) rarely update their sound in an innovative way. But this some groovy psychedelic hip hop :blessed:

That's because most 90s hip hop producers were copycats, who bit the blueprint of a handful of master producers, most of whom have rarely made music since the 90s

Q-Tip happens to be one of those true masters, and this is the quality you get when he's truly inspired to make music

I think RZA has been trying to be new and innovative since Wu Tang Forever, it's just that nobody wants to hear that shyt

We want that Wu-Tang sound from him, and he refuses to comply

Dre's hit or miss, depending on which beatmakers he enlists to leech off for 5 years or so

Preemo is the one I thought of when I read your post.

He tried to give fans what they said they wanted, and it just got tired over time

The masters I'm talking about is cats like Marley Marl, 45 King, Diamond D, Pete Rock, Large Professor, Paul C (RIP), Buckwild...

Q-tip, I ALWAYS viewed him as one of the top GREATEST producers ever in hip hop...but he's always been the most UNDERRATED. For some reason many overlook Q-tip. I always felt he's more superior than Premo, Pete Rock, and Extra P and ILLMATIC was basically proof of that when his ONE LOVE beat basically shytted on all that they did.
