Eh, this feels more Tribe than solo Q-Tip. Amplified/The Renaissance had a way different vibe from this.
as far as Amplified I can see your point, but Amplified's got enough Dilla beats on it to where you can lump it in with The Love Movement in terms of sound.

that being said, this definitely sounds a lot like the Kamaal the Abstract album and Renaissance in that the drums don't hit that hard at times, but this is just my opinion :yeshrug:

Working on getting through that Solange joint eventually

2016 finishing up very strong. I'm good.

Props to the OP for the drop. I DL'd this, but pre-ordered already to support this work!!! Guess I'll get the digital tomorrow and the physical CD whenever....

Same can be said for Common's album if you want to go there, no where near his best stuff.
at least Com's new one wasn't UMC or Nobody's Smiling. I actually look at it as a return to form for him. is it up there with Resurrection, One Day It'll All Make Sense, or Like Water for Chocolate? hell nah. but for it to be 2016 and see him spitting that hard over Kareem Riggins production it's definitely a pleasant surprise. I didn't have my hopes up for it given all that "extend a hand" nonsense but it's up there with Be, and maybe better than Finding Forever.
