Can’t see Hurd losing this on the cards at all. Lara will dodge him, but Hurd’s activity will win the rounds. Many will feel Lara should’ve/could’ve won, but just wasn’t active enough, especially when the opportunities were there.

We know the story with Lara in big fights at this point. Plus, PBC wants to push the up n coming Hurd...Lara’s just a mid-30’s steady horse they can count on these days, even he’s gotta know it.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Trainer who trains amateurs disagreed with me bout Hurd beating Lara

Here's how the convo went

Coach: Yawn you like Hurd but he's only good cause his slim waist

Yawn: What :dame:

Coach: Hurd has a slim waist and thick legs

Yawn: WHAT
full

Coach: He's just mediocre and uses his size advantage to win

Yawn: What does a slim waist have to do with that :dwillhuh:

Coach: His slim waist allows someone that tall with an upper and lower body that big to make 154

Yawn: You saying Hurd's hand speed & sharp counter punching mean nothing, only his slim waist ?

Coach : Yes he only wins cause his slim waist, thick legs and big upper body

Yawn:
full

Trainer further argued and brought up some great points in support of Lara

Such as Lara's amateur pedigree, & unjust defeats vs Canelo and Paul Williams

Trainer harped on that P.Will fight and then said Hurd is just another Williams/Margarito type

It's true Hurd is just as aggressive as both but neither of those

Had Hurd's combination of hand speed + natural power

Lara is facing the type of fighter he stated he needs to face for an exciting fight

Let's hope he's right :whoo:

I just don't see how j rock doesn't get ko'ed...last time out he struggled hard against ishe smith while gallimore beat down deloach to the point where deloach couldn't even sit down properly on his stool

If j rock wins he is a player at 154 again :hubie:
Deloach didn't even try to move out the way, he went there with Gallimore toe-to-toe which proved to be a bad idea.
I think J-Rock is faster, he has tighter technique and he likes to counter when he can, he won't just sit in the pocket and exchange with Gallimore. Gallimore gonna walk forward in a tight guard and gonna be peppered all night imo.
I understand why some people picking Gallimore but I think this is Williams' fight to lose and if he fights smart and composed he should win. He won't get hit by the same kind of counters as he did against Charlo. I know you are only good as your last fight but still I'd point out that Gallimore lost to an average cat before, not even 2 years ago and he wasn't a green dude, he was 27. That could mean something or not we will see...
J-Rock while he didn't look great on his last fight he still won and Ishe Smith is still a tough, crafty SOB.

So I am picking Williams if he fights the right fight but you could be right, if he is mentally done and/or fights a stupid fight he is there for the taking for Gallimore.

I think j rock is mentally tough but his chin is not...he can outbox gallimore but I'm skeptical it will be to the point where he doesn't get clipped with some shyt in return
